I was once asked to explain how to draw kimono. Well, here it is.
I desided to start from samurai outfit and take Bleach shinigami clothes as the example. (Maybe I'll draw female kimono later.)
Of course it's a very generilised uniform. Search i-net for more types of japanese traditional clothing if you are interested in specifics.

I love this, thanks for the walkthrough!! I've needed to see one, great details by the way! It must be uncomfortable to tuck in the Gi, I wonder if thats why soifon doesn't wear that...

Для девушек шинигами почти тоже самое, только грудь может быть перетянута бинтами. Женское кимоно и юката я попозже сделаю.

I also wonder about the Gi. Well, if it's short in lenght, there is no need. As for Soi Fon, she has that Yorouchi technique, where one prefer to have bare back.
